What would that pressure do to you? →Below about 200 meters, there is not enough light for meaningful photosynthesis. By 1,000 meters, sunlight is effectively gone.
What lives in each ocean layer? →Many avoid large gas-filled spaces and have bodies built to work under pressure. Their problem can begin when they are brought upward too quickly.
Why do deep animals glow? →Total atmospheres ≈ 1 + depth in meters ÷ 10.06. PSI uses 14.696 pounds per square inch per atmosphere; megapascals use 0.101325 MPa per atmosphere.
